Translation of abstract (English)

The exhibition hall at 25 Market Square became a kind of pattern for the new formation – MARG Club in the municipal area in the second half of the fifties of the twentieth century. You could meet fourteen artists individually or in groups in almost all the Cracovian exhibitions halls. These are their names: Jerzy Panek, Stanislaw Wojtowicz, Jozef Kluza, Zbigniew Grzybowski, Marian Malina, Wlodzimierz Buczek, Witold Damasiewicz, Antoni Hajdecki, Antoni Haska, Wlodzimierz Kunz, Jozef Marek, Tadeusz Ostaszewski, Witold Skulicz, Jaroslaw Sowinski and Jozef Szajna. They acknowledge the invitation to the Palace of Art in 1961 as their great success. In 1955 the Cracovian artists could present their products of art only in two places: in large halls of the Palace of Art and in smaller rooms of Dom Plastykow in Lobzowska Street, but in 1957 the exhibition room of Culture Faculty of RN at 25 Market Square, Krzysztofory and the exhibition room of The Association of Art Historians started also appearing in press, and since next season other smaller art galleries were mentioned in press too. In Nowa Huta some rooms were intended for this purpose in the bindings of various institutions, such as: the Lenin Club in KMPiK at Main Square, local libraries and the buildings of the branch of TPSP in Rose Avenue. The string of carefully prepared speeches made by the artists of MARG and their guests in the Cracow area and beyond it had the crucial influence on the Stimulation of the artistic life of that time.
