Abstract
Ein Grundmuster mit Variationen zieht sich als roter Faden durch die antike Mythologie, Märchen und Kunst: die von Natur aus Schöne, deren wahre Schönheit sich in der Tugend gepaart mit Weisheit sowie in der Reinheit der Seele zeigt, verwandelt durch die Liebe den äußerlich abstoßenden Partner in das Ebenbild des Schönen. Sehr oft ist dabei aber die Verführung nur ein Mittel zum Zweck. Ein unerschöpfliches Thema in Zusammenhang mit dem Schönen und dem Hässlichen ist der hohe Stellenwert der Erotik, die zu vielerlei Konflikten führt, und von der Antike an durch das Kunstschaffen der Jahrhunderte zu Darstellungen beflügelt. "La Belle et la Bête" – ein Thema für die Ewigkeit!
Translation of abstract (English)
A basic feature runs through the ancient mythology, fairy tales and art: the naturally beautiful, whose true beauty shows itself in virtue paired with wisdom, as well as in the purity of the soul, transformes by love the externally repulsive spouse in an image of the beautiful. But very often seduction is only a means to an end. An inexhaustible theme in the context of the beautiful and the ugly is the high value of eroticism. It leads to many conflicts, which inspired the art starting from ancient times until today. "La Belle et la Bête" - a theme for eternity!
