    <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="eng">We have investigated the stability of electrons above saturated films of superfluid 4He on both insulating and conducting substrates. Electron densities of up to 10 11 cm-2 have been observed to be stable, nearly 2 orders of magnitude more than on bulk 4He. Charging the films to such high densities leads to a drastic reduction in film thickness.</dcterms:abstract>
