    <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="eng">This paper, which is very much work in progress, tries to give an impression of a project that Kees van Kersbergen is working on during his stay at the Kulturwissenschaftliches Kolleg Konstanz (January-October 2008). The goal of the venture is to understand better the current malaise in and of democratic politics. The paper represents a speech held at the Konstanzer Kulturwissenschaftliches Kolloquium on 7.
