It is a preliminary study for a DFG research project (2000-2004) “The origin and development of the title page from the incunabula era to the early years of printing” (http://www.buchwiss.uni-erlangen.de/forschung/abgeschlossene-projekte.shtml#internetpink). The article outlines the development of the typographical dispositive chronologically with the aid of examples. There are only preliminary results; the concluding publications are available online(see the link before this volume’s table of Contents).

Es handelt sich um eine Vorstudie zu einem DFG-Forschungsprojekt (2000‒2004) „Entstehung und Entwicklung des Titelblatts von der Inkunabel- und Frühdruckzeit“ (http://www.buchwiss.uni-erlangen.de/forschung/abgeschlossene-projekte.shtml#internetpink). Der Aufsatz zeichnet in Grundzügen die chronologische Entstehung des typographischen Dispositivs anhand von Beispielen nach.
