The topic of the dissertation is the relationship between knowledge spillovers and firms' likelihood to co-operate on R&D and innovation activities. The analysis contains two parts: A review of relevant theoretical and empirical literature and an empirical part that analyses the relationship between R&D Co-operation and knowledge spillovers with regression analysis. The empirical part uses data from the Mannheim Innovationpanel on innovation activities of German firms.
Die Arbeit untersucht den Zusammenhang zwischen Wissensspillovern und der Kooperationsneigung von Unternehmen im Bereich Innovation und Forschung- und Entwicklung. Die Arbeit besteht aus einem theoretischen Teil mit einem Literaturüberblick zum Thema und einem empirischen Teil. Im empirschen Teil wird mit Hilfe von Daten aus dem Mannheimer Innovationspanel der Zusammenhang zwischen Wissensspillovern und Innovationskooperationen für Unternehmen mit Sitz in Deutschland geschätzt.
