Abstract

We consider to put in relation the concepts serendipity, emigration and folk story. Taking into account the romance: "El milagro del trigo", (in which we can read how the family of Jesus has to leave to Egypt by force, fleeing of the tetrarch Herod), parallelisms are looked at between the episodes of the romance and the documents on the migrations of the 21st century that the press often gathers at present.
