The parallel activation of different word forms is a central topic in the discussion about different models of speech production. Several experiments were conducted in the scope of this dissertation. A new method, associate naming, was used for investigation. This method was derived from the picture-word-interference paradigm. The discrete two-stage model, the cascading model and the interactive feedback model were compared, based on the results of the experiments.
