Zusammenfassung

In this thesis we investigated statical and dynamical properties of interacting Brownian particle systems. After a short introduction to general properties of overdamped systems we focus in chapter II on electrokinetic effects of colloidal macroions. Results are given for the long time diffusion coefficient and the electrophoretic mobility for spherical macroions. In chaper III we use Brownian Dynamics Simulations to describe self-diffusion in Quasi-two-dimensional systems of super-paramagnetic colloids. The results show very good agreement with the experimental data. We also provide in this chapter a general dynamic and static scaling law for systems with only one relevant length scale. Finally, in chapter IV we give a simple concept for calculating the mean coordination number of dense hard sphere packings.
